Terms of service

The agreement between you and Paylytics: what you are allowed to connect, what we are allowed to do with it, and what neither of us is promising.

Last updated 11 September 2026

The short version

  • Your accounts and your data stay yours. Connecting one gives us permission to read it, and nothing else.
  • Only read-only credentials are accepted, and only you can see the accounts you connect.
  • Paylytics reports figures. Your provider remains the record.
  • You can disconnect and delete whenever you like, with no notice period and no exit conversation.

That is a summary, not a replacement. Where the two disagree, the sections below are what apply.

The agreement

Creating an account and using Paylytics means accepting these terms. If some part of them does not work for you, the right time to find out is before you connect a key, which is why they are written to be read rather than survived.

What Paylytics is

An independent, read-only dashboard for the payment accounts you connect, across Polar, Stripe, Dodo Payments and Paddle. It fetches what those accounts already hold, normalises it, and adds it up in one place.

It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, operated by or a partner of any of those companies. Their names and marks are used only to say which account is which, and they belong to their owners.

Your account

  • Sign up with an email address you actually control. It is how a password reset, a breach notice or a service message reaches you.
  • Keep your password to yourself. Anything done under your login is treated as done by you.
  • Tell us if you think someone else has been in it, and we will help you close it off.
  • You need to be old enough and able to enter into a contract where you live.

Connecting a payment account

  • Connect only accounts you own, or that you are authorised by their owner to read.
  • Create the key with read permissions only, following the instructions on the connect form for that provider.
  • Keep control of it. A key you pasted here can be revoked at the provider at any moment, and doing so is always available to you.

Connecting an account authorises exactly one thing: reading its orders, subscriptions, customers and products, and keeping a copy so they can be merged with your other accounts and read quickly. It authorises nothing else, and there is no separate permission we can quietly rely on later.

What we will never do

These are obligations on us, not marketing. They are in the terms so that breaking one is a breach of this agreement rather than a change of heart.

  • Never send a write request to your payment provider, for any reason, including to test a key.
  • Never sell, rent, license or share your data, in any form.
  • Never contact your customers, or use anything we learn about them for our own purposes.
  • Never show one user another user's accounts, customers, or any figure attributable to them. The home page's live board is the single exception, and your part in it is limited to pooled, rounded, unattributable sums; the account rows and the chart drawn there are the operator's own business. The privacy policy sets out exactly what is in it, and you can ask to be left out.
  • Never take a payment from you without telling you first.

Fair use

The short version is do not use this to reach data that is not yours, and do not attack the thing you are using. In full:

  • Do not connect an account you have no right to read.
  • Do not probe, scrape, overload, or attempt to bypass the boundaries described in the privacy policy.
  • Do not resell access, or run someone else's business off one login where separate accounts are what is being asked for.
  • Do not use the service for anything unlawful, or to hold data you have no lawful basis to hold.

An account doing any of that can be suspended, and if the behaviour is serious or ongoing, closed.

Availability and price

There is a free plan and a paid one. The free plan connects up to 2 payment accounts, asks for no card at signup, and does not expire. Connecting more than that costs $10 a month. Nothing else differs between them: the same views, the same figures, the same exports.

Payment is taken by Polar, acting as merchant of record. They handle the card, the invoice and any sales tax or VAT, and their terms apply to that transaction. You can cancel at any time from the billing portal, reached from inside your dashboard; the plan then runs to the end of the period already paid for and stops. We do not refund part-months by default, and we would rather be asked than have you assume otherwise.

Ending a paid plan never deletes anything and never disconnects an account. If you are over the free limit when it lapses, every account you already connected keeps working and keeps syncing — you simply cannot add another one until you subscribe again. If the price or the free limit ever changes, you will be told in advance and asked, never charged quietly.

It is a small, independent product rather than a piece of infrastructure with an availability guarantee, and it is honest to say so. There is no uptime commitment. Features can change, and occasionally be removed, in which case we will say what changed. Syncing also depends on your provider's own systems being reachable, which is outside anyone's control here.

The figures are a report, not a record

Everything you see is derived from a copy taken at the moment of your last refresh, so it is as current as that refresh and no more. Totals are shown in the single currency that carries the most revenue, and the dashboard says so rather than converting silently. Where a provider returns more history than can be read in one pass, that is reported on the account instead of being quietly dropped.

Your provider's own dashboard remains the record, and your accountant remains the authority. Nothing here is financial, tax, accounting or legal advice, and it should not be the thing you file a return from.

Ending it

  • Disconnect an account whenever you like. Our copy of its data is deleted with it.
  • Cancel a paid plan whenever you like, from the billing portal inside your dashboard. It runs to the end of the period already paid for and then stops.
  • Ask us to delete your account and everything attached to it goes: the login, the stored keys, the mirrored data. Cancel the plan first — deleting the account here does not by itself end a subscription held at Polar.
  • We can end the agreement if an account is being used for the things listed under fair use. Except where the conduct is serious, you get notice and a chance to put it right first.

Liability, in plain words

Paylytics is provided as it is. We do not promise it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that every figure will match your provider to the cent at every moment.

We are not liable for a business decision taken on a figure shown here, for your provider's own outage, pricing or data, or for indirect or consequential losses. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to what you have actually paid us in the twelve months before the claim — which on the free plan is nothing.

Nothing in this section limits anything that cannot lawfully be limited, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, and for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation. A clause pretending otherwise would be unenforceable anyway, and printing it would only be an attempt to discourage you from asking.

Changes to these terms

Revised terms are posted here with the date at the top, and anything material is sent to you by email before it takes effect. Continuing to use the service after that means accepting the new version; if you would rather not, disconnecting and asking for deletion is always available and costs nothing.

Asking a person

Questions about any of this, including the parts you disagree with: write to privacy@paylytics.app and a person will answer.

Privacy policy

What is actually held, how it is encrypted, who can see it, and the plain-language worst case if any of that failed.
